5 reasons to see an osteopath
During pregnancy...
Osteopathy is a drug-free, gentle and safe approach to pain relief for conditions such as back and neck pain, pubic pain, heartburn, nausea, and rib pain.
Maximise your ability to adjust to the changes in your body, particularly changes in the centre of gravity as the baby grows and softening of tissues and ligaments occurs.
Release any tension or restriction in the pelvis/lower back area to allow for optimal foetal positioning.
It’s relaxing and is a time-out for yourself.
A balanced pregnant body, free of tension and restrictions means an easier labour!
For your child/baby...
A post-natal check is recommended for all babies as birth can be quite a traumatic event for the baby physically, as well as mum.
It’s a very gentle, non-invasive approach to health care. Common conditions seen in the newborn are colic, reflux, feeding or sleeping difficulties.
Release of any birth strain, particulary in the baby’s head if the labour has been quite intense, or if there have been any interventions.
Can help make breastfeeding more enjoyable – baby may have difficulty latching on or opening mouth due to cranial compression.
Promotes optimal health and development by ensuring the body is working in harmony.
